Review: Taqueria Distrito Federal

Pork, chicken and chicharron tacos

Prior to going to see a friend in The Importance of Being Earnest, J. and B. and I went to Taqueria Districto Federal. I ordered the three taco special which comes with drink and dessert. You can choose from a huge array of fillings. I had the pork, the chicken, and the chicharron. I also had a horchata. I recognize that given my only experience with a taqueria in SF has perhaps spoiled me for life, so honestly, this did not live up to my expectations at all. First off, maybe I am a little confused, but two of the three times I’ve had horchata it has tasted like liquid bubble gum. I’m not really sure why. Maybe it’s a sort of powdery milky flavor that makes me feel that way. But I drank it all because I was thirsty and dumb. Continue reading
