I went to see Andrew Bird at 930 Club last night. It was his last show in the US for this particular tour. His music is amazing, and makes me feel so incredibly mortal. The man has the voice of an angel, and is an amazing… violinist, guitarist, glockenspieler, and songwriter/arranger. I was texting with another friend who was somewhere else in the club and basically went… OMG! re: Jesus! Christ!
Actually he kept walking past me last night as I stood outside waiting for someone. Me and some girls I had just met ended up saying hi to him. He smiled at us and then proceeded to trip over the sidewalk. Obviously because I am devastatingly gorgeous. He’s rather beautiful himself, especially when he’s wearing his aviator sunglasses.
I also ran into some of the kids from Le Loup at the concert. They’re the hottest new band outta DC. Anyone who’s been following them knows how dreamy Jim is, and how cute Nicole and May are. But mostly how dreamy Jim is. If you get a chance check them out tomorrow night at Rock and Roll Hotel. They’re playing with the Rosebuds and Bowerbirds.

I just saw Andrew Bird the other day (9/29). I am also a synaesthete, and his show completely stunned me. I was shaking the whole time and could hardly keep my eyes open. It was an amazing experience!
