I was in the Metro… as all my DC-hating stories begin… I walk down the platform and ease my way to the side. Out of nowhere, this woman says, “Excuse me,” and SHOVES ME!! I was not encroaching on her space, but maybe I got a little in her way. But still saying excuse me does not give someone the right to push me. You say excuse me and allow me to get out of your way. If saying excuse me gives someone that right then I guess it’s okay for me to tackle that person and say EXCUSE ME!!! I am indignant.
