Homeless guys have more style on the West Coast

Not that I am one to fault a homeless guy in DC for asking for money, but you gotta admit… this guy in SF is pretty impressive. (www.xanga.com/dachingsta) M. saw this guy through his bus window in SF, though he doesn't look as homeless as the guys around DC. Maybe this guy isn't homeless.

Things that people should have learned when they were in kindergarten…

But never really learned…

  1. Sharing.
  2. How to clean up after themselves.
  3. Wait your turn.
  4. Patience.
  5. Be nice.
  6. Turn the lights on, turn the lights off when you are done or you'll waste energy and hurt the environment.
  7. Ditto the refrigerator door.
  8. Thank people when they've done something nice.

From my experience the early education system needs some revamping.

Review: Pedro and Vinny’s Burrito Cart and Hello!

ETA 9/16/08: This place has now reopened.

ETA: This place is now CLOSED. There is another burrito cart near 17th and K (on K St.), which also sells espresso drinks.

Woohoo! Further evidence that I am really need of a better macro capability on my 5-year old digital camera! But look at that burrito glistening in its aluminum wrapper.

So an account of my adventures at Pedro and Vinny’s after the jump!

Ice cream a.k.a. why my boss RAWKS.

<boss pokes head into office>
Boss: I need you to do something with me right now.
Me: (thinking oh crap, what did I do?) Right now?
Boss: Right now. Come with me.
Me (gets up)
Boss: I need you to go eat some ice cream, and not get it on yourself. (in reference to the spaghetti sauce I spilled on my shirt)

Heath bar ice cream bar. Woot!

Review: Peruvian chicken head to head: El Pollo Rico v. Crisp & Juicy

There are a load of Peruvian chicken joints in the area. Two of the more popular are El Pollo Rico and Crisp & Juicy. Within the last few weeks I had the opportunity to taste both. Both are excellent, but some people have their own preferences. See my comparison after the jump. Continue reading
